Join Amigos del Lago

Our members are the soul of our organization. This was true when Sociedad Amigos del Lago de Chapala, A.C. had only a few members, dedicated to more modest (but also important) projects, and also now, after new members have joined to fight for the survival of Lake Chapala.
Only together can we make an impact, can we convince people in power to change the way in which the affairs of the lake have been managed in recent years.

We still need more members to have 1) a greater influence on governmental decision makers, 2) more funds to finance our projects, and 3) a larger base of volunteers to help us carry out our projects.

Our membership is structured as follows:

• Associate: Less than $50 pesos, 1 year with no voting right

• Member: $50 - $499 pesos, 1 year with voting right
                    $500 - $999 pesos, 3 years with voting right

• Sponsor: $1000 pesos or more, 3 years with voting right, plus mention on the website

• Business Member: $1,000 pesos, 1 year with a single vote, plus an advertisement on our website.

Memberships started or renewed January 1 - September 30 are for the current year, and memberships started or renewed after September 30 extend to the end of the following year.
